Digital Target ID

The device displays a unique ID number on its screen called the Digital Target ID (DTI). This number, ranging from 0 to 99, relates to the electrical conductivity of the metal, giving the prospector an idea of the metal type of the buried object. The value can vary depending on the metal. Experienced users can associate different target IDs with a specific metal type, such as 70 for gold. </p

Note: This number depends on several factors, including the search frequency, detection mode, ground balance, and soil type.

Hybrid Audio System

The Garrett ACE Apex offers a hybrid audio system that combines the dual audio system (found in previous ACE detectors) with the added benefit of accurate relative audio for targets with weak and faint signals.

Iron Sound

The Iron Sound feature is a special audio tone emitted by the device to identify the presence of ferrous metals, such as iron or its alloys, such as steel.

The unique Iron Audio feature helps correctly identify complex ferrous objects, such as bottle caps.

Ground Balance

The Garrett ACE APEX's ground balance feature works properly due to its high-resolution 175-point ground balance, which is suitable for all types of terrain, ranging from ferrous ground to salt water.

The discrimination feature, called the Threshold Tone Interval, enables the user to distinguish between different types of metals at 20 levels, 8 of which are for ferrous metal.

Multi-Flex Simultaneous Frequency Technology

This technology allows the user to select a specific search frequency from a set of preset frequencies to limit the search to a specific metal type or size.
Or, they can select one of the device's multiple simultaneous frequency modes to cover all targets and sizes simultaneously for optimal performance and shorter detection times.
As a general rule, lower search frequencies generally provide improved detection of larger, more conductive targets (e.g., large silver coins).
Conversely, higher frequencies generally provide improved detection of smaller, less conductive targets (e.g., hammered silver coins, gold nuggets).
Prospectors can select one of six detection modes to suit different conditions depending on target sizes and terrain type.
